Election 2024

The Coast Federation of Classified Professionals supports and empowers all our members to fulfill their civic duty. We encourage you to become registered voters and make your voices heard. We want to reassure you that your right to vote is essential, and we are here to provide the necessary resources and guidance to help you navigate the process of casting your votes for the candidate of your choice.

Per our contract, Article 17.5, Voting Time Off. Pursuant to Section 14000 of the Elections Code, if an employee's work schedule is such that it does not allow sufficient time to vote in any statewide election in which the employee is entitled to vote, the District shall grant up to two (2) hours of work time without loss of pay. Employees must request leave time from their immediate supervisor at least two (2) working days before the election.

Empower yourself by taking advantage of the convenient and flexible voting options. In-person early voting starts on Oct. 7, and if you still need to register to vote, you still have an opportunity. Eligible citizens who need to register or re-register to vote within 14 days of an election can complete this process to register and vote at their county elections office, polling place, or vote center. This ensures your voice is heard, as your ballots will be processed and counted once the county elections office has completed the voter registration verification process.
